SOUTHWEST HARBOR — Dan Johnson, executive director of Acadia Family Center, will give a talk July 10 about the challenges of having a friend or loved one suffering from an addiction. The talk is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Acadia Family Center campus on Fernald Point Road.
The talk will include understanding the origins of addiction, responses that are not helpful, and what actions are the most supportive and caring.
The talk is part of a new Second Tuesday Speaker Series. The next talk will be “Strategies and Tools to Have a Healthier Relationship with Technology,” set for Aug. 14 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
