Junior Allyson Bender placed ninth in the long jump relay.

The girls’ ‘A’ team took fifth place in the 1,200-meter sprint medley with a time of 3:27.36.

The Trojan indoor track teams are focused towards “becoming more aware of our running, jumping and throwing forms,” said Witham. “Each group has different goals, but one key goal moving forward is to continue a strong emphasis on correct form.” In practice, his team will continue to work in the weight room on lifting, still emphasizing form and control.

“The work that needs to be done is continuing to train hard,” he said. “During the middle of the season is a time when people have to refocus training efforts and make them just as useful as the first few days of practice.”

The MDI indoor track team is set to travel to Orono on Saturday, Jan. 2, for the UMO relay meet.
