SOUTHWEST HARBOR — A tennis and music camp will be offered at the Harbor House for four weeks this summer. This pilot program, sponsored by North Shore Tennis, is offered to children seven to 13 years of age June 22-26, June 29-July 3, July 6-10 and July 20-24.
The camps take place Monday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m. and cost $60 per week. Children may sign up for one or more weeks of the camp. As the program is meant to go hand in hand with morning sailing at the MDI Community Sailing Center and Story Camp at the Southwest Harbor Public Library, transportation from those programs to the Harbor House will be provided.

The music curriculum will include hand drumming, band instrument instruction, pop instrument (guitar, bass, keyboard, drums) instruction, basic music theory, composition and Garage Band software. The tennis curriculum will cover groundstroke production, volley technique, strategy and fun games.
The tennis instructor is Dan Granholm, a United States Professional Tennis Association instructor and certified music teacher. The music instructor is Beau Lisy, professional musician and teacher.
Campers should bring tennis shoes or other non-marking court shoes. Lunch is not provided.
