Charity mini golf on Islesford

CRANBERRY ISLES — For the 10th year in a row, Islesford resident Jim Parrish is setting up a miniature golf course in his front yard to raise money for community organizations.

The course opens June 15. It costs $4 per person to play.

This year’s recipients will be the SPCA of Hancock County, the Islesford Volunteer Fire Department, the Cranberry Isles Rescue Service and the Islesford Library.

Parrish typically raises about $1,000 a year – that’s 250 rounds of golf – and one year raised nearly $5,000.
