BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott women’s basketball junior forward Hannah Shaw was awarded D3Hoops.com 2016-17 Women’s Basketball All-Northeast Region Fourth Team honors.
Shaw, a first-time D3hoops.com All-Region selection, was one of three Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) representatives on the list this year. She is the fourth student-athlete in Endicott women’s basketball history to receive All-Region honors, and the first forward and junior to do so.
In her junior campaign for the Gulls, Shaw earned her second All-CCC selection. She was Endicott’s team leader in scoring at 14.4 points per game and ranked in the top 10 in rebounding, 3-point percentage and field goal percentage despite appearing in just 18 games after missing a chunk of the season due to injury.
Shaw was a two-time CCC Player of the Week and was named to the Skidmore College Invitational All-Tournament Team. She tied the program record for most steals in a game with nine against Curry on Nov. 30, 2016, and tied for the second-most rebounds in a game at Nichols on Feb. 8 to highlight her junior season. She also now holds the program record for single-season defensive rebounds average with 6.8 on the year.
The Gulls finished the season at 13-13 overall after compiling a 12-6 record in conference play.
