TRENTON — A University of Maine baseball alumnus is set to be inducted into the Maine Baseball Hall of Fame later this summer.
Jim Cameron of Trenton led the University of Maine in pitching (6-1) and hitting (.319) in 1970. He was selected to the All-Yankee Conference team twice.
The hall of fame will welcome its new members during its 48th annual induction ceremony and banquet scheduled for Sunday, July 22, at the Holiday Inn By the Bay in Portland.
After college, Cameron spent his career with Bangor Hydro Electric Company, now Emera Maine, beginning as a lineman.
Cameron is among 10 individuals who will be inducted into the hall of fame this summer.
