BAR HARBOR — The 26th annual David R. Harding Memorial Golf Tournament hosted by Bar Harbor Bank & Trust was held at Kebo Valley Golf Club on June 12.
The annual charity event is a tribute to David R. Harding, longtime member and chairman of the board of Bar Harbor Bankshares. The proceeds from this year’s tournament benefit the Bar Harbor Food Pantry and Westside Food Pantry.
First place in gross score were David Gray, Mark Gray, Barry Duffy and Eric Fitch, with a score of 58. Runners up were Danny Harper, Jay Pearl, Carter Pearl and John Tuell, who finished with a score of 61.
Winners in net score, with 50.2, were Mark Politte, Brian Berard, Scott Michaud and Rich Defneitas. Runners up were Greg Dalton, Brad Dalton, Steve Dalton and Andrew Dalton, with a score of 50.9.
First place in mixed gross was the team of Matt LaHaye, Jim LaHaye, Jack Martel and Doug Hodgdon, with a score of 66. First in mixed net was a team of Ervin Belanger, Jacob Maguire, Paul Tracy and Missy Tracy, with 54.4.
“Closest to the pin” winners were Eric Fitch, with 7 feet even; Laura Smallidge, with 25 feet; Andy Cough, with 7 feet, 11 inches; and Tim Miller, with 6 feet, 9 inches.
Fitch and Debbie Mitchell-Dow won the competition for longest drive. David Colter earned the “Closest to the Lobster Trap” distinction; his ball landed 9 feet, 8 inches from the trap.
