Girls to host Bucksport

BAR HARBOR — The Mount Desert Island High School varsity softball team will take on Bucksport High School at home on Thursday, April 20, at 4:30 p.m. The Bucks are seven-time state champions who won the Northern Maine championship last spring before falling to Madison Area Memorial High School in the state championship.

But the young, 17-woman Trojans roster has plenty of talent and speed to bring to Thursday afternoon’s matchup.

Next up for MDI is a road game against Foxcroft Academy on Saturday, April 22, at 1 p.m. The Trojans will play host to Ellsworth High School on Tuesday, April 25, at 4:30 p.m. and again on Thursday, April 27, at 4:30 p.m. against John Bapst Memorial High School.
