MOUNT DESERT — Sam Alvarado of Lamoine swam to first place in two events Saturday at the 22nd annual Bill Reeve Echo Lake Swim.
Alvarado took the 500-yard swim in 5:31.57, followed by Talor Hamilton of Ellsworth in 5:41:72.
Kristy Barry was the first female to cross the finish line, with a time of 6:56:07, followed by Riley Satterfield of Eddington in 7:16:10.
Alvarado also took first place in the 1.5-mile race with a time of 32:59:31, more than a minute ahead of second-place finisher Brim Peabody of Scarborough, with a time of 34:14:16.
Miriam Nelson was the first female finisher, with a time of 39:07:57, followed by Kristy Barry in 41:03:35.
