Cross-country places third and fourth in Old Town

Mount Desert Island High School’s Tia Tardy stays ahead of the pack last Saturday at the Old Town Invitational cross-country meet. The senior came in first place overall with a time of 20 minutes, 3:4 seconds. The varsity girls’ team came in third, and the varsity boys’ team came in fourth. MDI will head next to the Festival of Champions Saturday, Oct. 1, at Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast, with races starting at 11 a.m.
