Braun caught up in sticky situation

BAR HARBOR — Ian Braun has gotten himself into a sticky situation.

The Mount Desert Island High School dean of students and assistant football coach has agreed to an off-the-wall stunt – but it’s all for a good cause.

On Friday, March 31, Braun will be taped to the wall of the high school cafeteria for a fundraiser designed by the school’s Island Pathways students

To raise money for the Hancock County Food Drive, students are selling one foot of duct tape for $1, which is the amount it takes to procure enough food for a meal for a family of four in Hancock County. All of the tape purchased will be used to attach Braun to the wall, and the money raised will go to Healthy Acadia and its food drive.

The stunt will take place in the cafeteria at 10 a.m.

To donate, visit www.healthyacadia.org and click on the Hancock County Food Drive donation link donation link. On the “Gift in honor of” line, type “MDIHS Island Pathways” and then email a copy of your donation confirmation to Kate Meyer at [email protected] Donations also can be made in person at the MDI High School main office.
