ACADIA NAT’L PARK — Acadia Quest is a series of youth and family oriented experiences in Acadia National Park that encourages youth and families to explore, learn and protect national parks and other conserved lands.
The 2016 Quest, which begins this month, focuses on Acadia’s 100-year history with activities that celebrate its past and inspire its future.
Acadia Quest is an experiential scavenger hunt: when your family/team registers for the quest, you’ll get a list of experiences to “collect” in Acadia. Pick enough activities to fulfill the quest requirements, complete them on your team’s own schedule and send in your documentation to earn your quest badge and be entered in the grand prize drawing in November.
Acadia Quest challenges are designed to appeal to all ages and ability levels. A Speed Quest is designed for visitors who are in Acadia for as little as two days.
Teams can register anytime through Nov. 15, and all registration forms and documentation must be entered at that time to be eligible for prizes. Prizes are sent to teams at the end of the year.
In partnership with Friends of Acadia and the National Park Service, Chimani is piloting a digital version of Acadia Quest in 2016.
