To the Editor:
You can tell its summer. There are crazy-fast drivers on Norway Drive.
I walk my grandson down to the pond. People, and not just tourists, are zipping right along. Some slow down when we are walking; others don’t. Maybe some tickets might be appropriate.
It’s my road also, and I am going to walk as often as I want to. Tickets are one way of telling people it’s inappropriate to speed or not pay attention to what they are doing just because they’re on a side street.
We’re trying to save everyone’s lives by giving speeders tickets. Nobody learns from a police car in the area, but they do when it comes out of their pockets. We want our residents as well as tourists to enjoy and stay alive.
