To the Editor:
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank my friends and neighbors and the general public for all the great pouring out of support for the efforts and goals of the Otter Creek Clean Up Intervention (OCCUPI) committee.
I’m really surprised. Now that the news is out, it seems that just about everybody is on board with agreement and wants to help straighten out these affairs.
Now the big question is: How do we do it? If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at 19 Grover Ave., Otter Creek, ME, 04665.
I’d also like to thank in advance, for all past and future cooperation and attention, the Acadia National Park Advisory Commission, the park administration, all the friends of Acadia, the Nature Conservancy, the DEP, the EPA, the DMR, the Army Corps of Engineers, the towns of Mount Desert and Bar Harbor, the local historical societies, the Hancock County Commission, the Registry of Deeds, along with the Otter Creek Aid Society and others.
Thanks also to the Mount Desert Islander for covering these very complex issues.
It’s quite obvious that we all believe that we have a right to free access, clean water and the pursuit of happiness. Thank you.
