To the Editor:
As first-time visitors to Bar Harbor, my wife and I have been enjoying all the fine and exciting things your community has to offer.
The only downside thus far was the Fourth of July parade. How disappointing it was to observe the political themes that were interjected into the parade. That which we observed obviously represents the political leanings of this community.
Perhaps many of your visitors have different thoughts.
Wouldn’t it be nice to set aside our political differences for just one day so we all could enjoy the celebration?
Maybe you should mention this to the Chamber of Commerce.
