To the Editor:

I find the attitude of the deer task force, which includes biologists, hunters, Acadia National Park representatives, conservationists and staffers of the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, to be sometimes exceedingly irritating.

I and all citizens of Bar Harbor deserve to have a detailed map of all of the pertinent properties where hunting will be allowed. The deer task force should create such a map.

Shall I need to wear a bright orange vest when I am walking my dog? Shall I dress in fluorescent green outerwear when I take a relaxing stroll?

This island is checker boarded by Acadia National Park land.

Consider the stunning tragedy it would be if a citizen of Bar Harbor were maimed or killed.
