To the Editor:
I wish to state my appreciation for Emera’s recent letter to the Islander updating our community on the status of the final phase of building a new substation and transmission line in Bar Harbor.
As one of the Woodbury Road neighbors, I feel Emera has been charting new territory for involving both stakeholders and citizens in this essential and complex project. We all hope for a timely, safe and reliable solution for meeting our current and future needs for the delivery of electricity to our island.
I would like our community to know that Kendra Overlock and Steven Sloan, Emera representatives who have worked with the Bar Harbor business community, organizations and citizens for the past ten months, have both my appreciation and respect for their hard work and unfailing courtesy to all.
Emera is fortunate to have such fine managers as Overlock and Sloan.
