To the Editor:
There will be two important hearings coming up for all Bar Harbor citizens to attend. On Nov. 14, from 4-6 p.m., the ferry terminal visioning lead committee will welcome public comment on its recommendations to the council as to how best to develop the ferry terminal property as a facility designed to benefit all of Bar Harbor as well as cruise ship passengers or as a facility limited to serving large, docked cruise ships. Let your voice be heard.
One week later, the Town Council will vote on whether it wishes to buy the ferry terminal property and will weigh in on the lead committee recommendations.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to use this waterfront property to serve Bar Harbor year-round residents and all of our visitors, whether they arrive by ship, bicycle, car or plane?
