Letter to the Editor: Ball supports good local government

To the Editor:

I am writing to endorse Carolyn Ball as a candidate for the Board of Selectmen of Southwest Harbor.

Carolyn is a professor emeritus and adjunct instructor at the University of Southern Maine Muskie School of Public Service. She teaches courses on management of cities, towns and counties.

She is a member of the Maine Town, City and County Management Association. Carolyn writes a blog on management ideas for local governments and nonprofits.

She has served on the town Warrant Committee and recently helped Southwest Harbor to obtain a $25,000 grant for engineer design services for the Manset Town Dock and the Hook property.

Her attendance at Planning Board meetings, League of Town meetings and County Commissioner meetings demonstrates her commitment to supporting good local government.

Please consider voting for Carolyn Ball on Tuesday, July 14.
