To the Editor:
I read with some interest the article in last week’s Islander about Sam Shaw and his former plans for redevelopment in Northeast Harbor.
He stated he had a really great project planned but he lost his enthusiasm after the past election of Donald Trump. With a very pro business president having been elected, it would seem to me that now would be the time for this type of project (as obviously it appears to the new owner).
Perhaps Shaw was reluctant to invest and try to proceed in any redevelopment venture because the past president and administration were very anti-business.
I believe that this is the ideal time to start and build a business when we have a president trying to help business owners with less regulations and workers with more job opportunities.
