Letter to the Editor: Increased gunshot incidents disturbing 

To the Editor: 

I was disturbed by the number of gunshot incidents reported locally in the Mount Desert Islander police report last week. “Shots fired, hole in house (in Bar Harbor),” “gunshots reported in the area of Blodgett Lane,” “gunshots in Hall Quarry.” Was this recklessness due to pandemic-related tensions being discharged? Regardless, our addiction to and reliance upon guns to solve our difficulties is beyond disturbing.
