100th partners list is growing

To the Editor:

Thank you very much for the excellent coverage of Acadia National Park’s Centennial throughout every issue of the Mount Desert Islander and especially in the “Acadia National Park at 100: A Centennial Celebration” supplement.

We greatly appreciate the outpouring of community support for Acadia during this special anniversary. More than 400 businesses, organizations and individuals have become Acadia Centennial Partners. I wanted to mention a few partners whom I accidentally omitted from the partner list supplied to the Islander, as well as partners whose applications were in process as the Centennial supplement was being printed.

They include: Acadia Weekly, Sally and Bill Arata, Stephani Briggs, Coastal Eye Care, Conners Emerson 3rd Grade Class, Crow Athletics, Durum Tempus Hardwood Clocks, Ellsworth Hannaford, Fabricate, Lisa Gent, Gifts by the Sea, Cooperative Golden Oak, Judy Groth & Associates, Cathy Heinz, Hearthside Inn, The Holmes Store, Hulls Cove Neighborhood Association, Makes Scents, Mount Desert Island Marathon, Half, and Relay, The Raab Collection at the Kedge, Shard and Stanley Subaru.

We are continually adding new partners, and the most up-to-date list can be found on the Acadia Centennial website, www.acadiacentennial2016.org. Thank you to the 400-plus Acadia Centennial Partners and Signature Sponsors, including the Islander, for your tremendous support of Acadia National Park.
