To the Editor:

In May, 14 students and two teachers traveled to New York to participate in this year’s international flagship Model United Nations conference. Representing Bolivia, students negotiated with other role-playing “delegations” in a simulated U.N. that provided an opportunity for students to research, debate and discuss current global issues. They met other students from around the world, took in a Tony-nominated play, sat in the U.N. General Assembly Hall and got a chance to experience one of the world’s great cities, New York.
