William Dean Dailey, 80, of Weirton, passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019, at his home. Born Sept. 22, 1939, in Weirton, he was the son of the late Luke and Rita (Cain) Dailey.
Bill, referred to as the “Blues Man Bill,” loved playing the blues on his guitar. He was a silver and goldsmith, owning his own jewelry store. He was a master craftsman, musician and artist. He enjoyed playing pool, traveling and photography. Bill shared with everybody his sense of humor and love of life.
He was a member of the Weirton Church of Christ.
He is survived by his longtime girlfriend Billie Jean Stanley; sons Jeff Dailey and his wife, Tracey, of Weirton and Mark Dailey and his wife, Eleanor, of Arizona; grandchildren Tina Copestick, Luke, Henry and his wife, Moe, Emma, Eleanor and Ruth Dailey and great-granddaughter Audrey.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, Jan. 1 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, W.Va., where funeral services will be celebrated Thursday, Jan. 2 at 9:30 a.m., with Pastor Steven P. Smithbauer officiating.
