Tammy White

FRANKLIN

Tammy Shirley White was born on April 9, 1968, and left this Earth to fly with the angels on Dec. 21, 2017, surrounded by her family and friends.

She is survived by one son, Devin Sprague from Ellsworth, her parents, Carol and Albert Hamor of Tucson, Ariz., and Cindy and Frank White of Trenton, two brothers James White and Jake White of Trenton, ME, a nephew Jack White, two stepsisters Wendy Loucks of Hancock and Dawn Gagnor of Hyde Park, Vt., Devin’s father Roger Sprague, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, her favorite father-in-law, Merle Sprague of Pembroke, and her faithful companion, Chevy.

She is survived by so many special friends especially, “The Baxter Girls” and her wonderful, loving caretakers who made it possible to spend her last days at home.

Waiting for her in heaven are grandparents: Loren (Sonny) White, Shirley Wallace, Clayton Wallace, Rhoda Hamor and cousin, Joey White.

Tammy was a very active Girl Scout, reaching the rank of senior Scout, and was awarded the highest award in Girl Scouts, the Gold award.

She took great pride in her career in health care services. She loved caring for her patients and fondly remembered four families that touched her life.

Tammy loved the outdoors whether she was hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, snowmobiling or jeeping. She was always looking for an adventure. Her happy place was Baxter State Park, where she spent many summers camping with friends and family.

Her most shining accomplishment is her son, Devin, who has grown to be a fine, hard working young man.

Donations in Tammy’s honor may be made to Beacon Hospice or Cancer Care of Maine.

A celebration of life will be held Dec. 29, 2017, at the Franklin Veterans Club from 4-8pm.

Spring interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Northeast Harbor.
