On Saturday, May 9, 2020, in Bangor, Roy D. Reid, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away at the age of 59.
Roy was born on Jan. 23, 1961, in Klamath Falls, Ore., to loving mother, Lou Walker, and resided in Coquille for many years until he moved to Maine in 1999.
Roy was the beloved husband and soulmate of Susan Reid for 13 years and loving father to daughters, Haley Reid of Maine (grandchildren Lilly, Wyatt and Hunter), Emily Reid of Maine and Heather Reid of Oregon. He is also survived by granddaughter, Keonna Reid of Oregon; great-granddaughter, Aubrey; brothers, Rodney Smith and Steven Cupernall of Oregon; as well as many nieces and nephews residing in Oregon. He was a fantastic stepfather to Neisha Starling (grandkids Axel, Max and Jaxen), Kayla Starling and son Levi, Tasha Starling and Chay Starling, all in PEI, Canada.
Roy will be forever remembered by his kind heart, funny pranks and his laughter. He also loved “his kids” at MDI High School, where he worked as a custodian for many years.
Roy was preceded in death by his father, Roy, his mother, Lulu Mae, brother, Dennis, and sister, Luanne, all from Coquille, Ore.
Roy will be laid to rest beside his mom, brother and sister in Oregon.
