Ralph W. Hogdon II

flagSEAL COVE — OBIT ISL - HogdonWith heavy hearts, we say goodbye to a truly amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Surrounded by love with his family, Ralph W. Hodgdon II passed away at home after a long, courageous battle against cancer. He was born Feb. 8, 1946, in Brunswick, son of Ralph W. Sr. and Betty D. (White) Hodgdon.

Ralph was an avid sports fan, had a true love for the “game,” always staying loyal to his favorite team, the Boston Red Sox. Along with his love of sports, Ralph had an unconditional love for animals. His pets were truly loved and adored, spoiled to the hilt and never a moment lacking attention. Ralph also had an unquestionable love for his family; truly adored his wife, forever proud of his children and grandchildren and greatly admired his friends. We all feel more than blessed to have been such a loving part of his life and will miss him dearly.

Ralph leaves behind his beloved wife, Terry (Hopkins) Hodgdon; sons, Ralph Hodgdon and wife, Natalie; Brandon Hodgdon and wife, Laura; stepdaughters, Dawn Gray, Melanie Corcoran and husband, Matt; stepson, Chad Campbell and wife, Michelle; sisters, Carolyn and Gwendolyn Hodgdon; grandchildren, Tyler, Trent, William, Sam, Codie, McKenzie, Alexa, Sarah, Matt, Treavor, Jared, Jamie, Payton, Kilee, Evan, Suri and Cooper; and great-grandchild, William (Wes). Along with his parents, Ralph was predeceased by his brother, James Hodgdon.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, at Jordan-Fernald, 1139 Main St., Mount Desert.
