Robert Howard Frazier, “Papa,” 90, passed away peacefully Jan. 13, 2021, at Knox Center for Long Term Care in Rockland. Bob was born July 23, 1930, in Hulls Cove to Charles Frederick and Maise Holt Frazier of Northeast Harbor. He graduated from Gilman High School and attended Maine Maritime Academy. Robert worked for the U.S. Postal Service and Kebo Valley Golf Club in Bar Harbor.
Papa had a wonderfully playful spirit and lived a full life. He enjoyed people and always had time to share a good story. Papa’s interests included spending time with family, Nana’s cooking, chatting on his cell phone tracking down the children and grandchildren (“What’s goin’ on?”), puttering in the basement, collecting golf balls, old coins and treasures. He enjoyed serving at St. Saviour’s Episcopal Church for many years.
Bob was predeceased by his loving wife, Beverly Cunningham Frazier; son, Alan Wayne Frazier; sister, Ruth Frazier Damon; and stepson, Bruce Wayne Freeman.
Bob is survived by a son, Michael Frazier, and his wife, Kim; daughter, Beth Ann Jewel, and her husband, Duane; stepson, Steve Freeman, and his wife, Justine; stepdaughter, Kathy Conlogue, and her husband, John; and daughter-in-law, Christine Freeman Lussier. Papa’s grandchildren include Marla Jones, Kellie Russomano and her husband, Phil Russomano, Brice Freeman, Derrick Freeman, Melissa Freeman, Morgan Benton and her husband, Max, Alicia Graves Jewel, Mercedes Frazier, Tom Paola and Mary Paola. Great-grandchildren include Zachary Jones, Abigail Jones, Lucas Jones, Ella Russomano, Jackson Russomano, Kyle Freeman, Izayah Freeman, Heidi Benton, Lucian Audette, Elizabeth Logan and Felicity Logan. Bob is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Bob will be missed by many.
