TREMONT – Phillip L. Frost died unexpectedly April 14, 2016, at MDI Hospital. He was born May 5, 1962, in Millinocket the son of Gerald and Lucille (Cossar) Frost.
Phillip was educated in the Medway, East Millinocket, school system. After this, he moved to Hancock County and worked in the blueberry fields and then at the Sardine Factory in Southwest Harbor. He settled in the Tremont area and in 1999 married Diane Norwood. They had 17 wonderful years together. Phil had a really big heart and loved to joke, especially with his nieces and nephews. He loved racing with his brothers, special niece Megan and the Frost Racing Team. He worked for the Town of Mount Desert Highway Department. He will truly be missed by his large family and many friends.
He was predeceased by his father and sister, Kathleen Duprey. Surviving besides his wife and mother are sisters, Theresa Parsons and Karen Richards; brothers Gerald (Beth) Frost and Kenneth (Jennie) Frost; brother-in-law David Duprey; stepson Lucah Stanley; and granddaughter Breanna Stanley. He is also survived by many much loved nieces and nephews.
A service of remembrance will be held at the Tremont Congregational Church, April 24, 2016, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Clay Gilley officiating. Refreshments and remembrances may be shared afterward in parish hall. A private interment will be held at a later date.
