ELLSWORTH – Llewellyn “Bud” Lynk, 69, passed away March 7, 2017, in Bangor surrounded by his wife, son and daughter-in-law. He was born June 18, 1947, in Bar Harbor, the son of the late Peter Lynk Sr. and Charlotte (Merchant) Leighton.
Bud graduated from Mount Desert High School in Northeast Harbor. He joined the U.S. Army in 1970. After serving in the Army, he was employed as a mason tender and for the past several years, worked at the Bar Harbor Laundry Co.
Bud loved playing pool and darts and his team went to Vegas for the state of Maine. He was a huge fan of wrestling and the Bruins hockey team.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Karen (Deveau) Lynk of Ellsworth, son Llewellyn “Lew” Lynk and his wife, Alana, of Town Hill, sister Elissa Young and her husband, Robin. Several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call 5 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at Atlantic Oceanside Hotel & Event Center, 119 Eden St., Bar Harbor, where a celebration of life will follow at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bud’s memory may be made to the family to help with his medical expenses.
