Bar Harbor and North Palm Beach, Fla.
Kay Lynn Jacobson Pelletier, 79, of Bar Harbor and North Palm Beach, Fla., passed away peacefully on Monday, July 12, 2021, at Palm Beach Gardens Hospital.
Kay Pelletier was born in Gardner, Mass., on Oct. 12, 1941, the daughter of Mae and George S. Jacobson. She graduated from Needham High School and Chandler College in Boston. She had a brief administrative career at the Children’s Hospital in Boston and various other medical practices in the Boston area prior to her marriage.
She was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her husband of 52 years Paul “Skip” Pelletier of North Palm Beach, Fla., daughter Laurie Suydam and her husband, Shaun, of Trenton and son Dana Pelletier and his partner Melissa Walls of Bar Harbor.
Her fun-loving and animated personality will be missed by all those who knew her. She loved being a mother, socializing with her neighbors and engaging in her community through her career with Avon and involvement in the Bar Harbor sorority. She and Skip enjoyed many adventures traveling and after retirement, summers at their cottage by the sea in Southwest Harbor and winters in North Palm Beach. Wherever she was, she was the life of the party.
A private ceremony will be held in the fall. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lisa Stewart Women’s Health Center.
