Johannah Elisabeth Camber, 22, of Bangor died at home surrounded by her family on May 18, 2018.
Johannah was born on Sept. 21, 1995, to Stacy Stanley Just of Bangor and the late James V. Camber of Ellsworth.
Johannah fought a courageous battle against small cell ovarian cancer. Throughout her illness, she remained positive, never succumbing to the belief that this rare and aggressive disease would take her life. She fought valiantly until the end.
Johannah enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She prioritized spending time with family and friends above all else. She loved to spend time with relatives on Mount Desert Island and in the summer, spending time at camp on Whetstone Pond with cousins and friends swimming, having bonfires and cooking out. Johannah had a fashion sense that was all her own, often experimenting with different hair color and makeup trends. She was kind-hearted and generous to a fault. She will be forever missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of meeting her.
Johannah is survived by her mother, Stacy Stanley Just of Bangor; her siblings, Jordan J. Camber of Trenton, Stephen Just and Catherine Just of Bangor; her grandparents, Stephen and Margo Stanley of Tremont; her uncle, Shawn Stanley of Tremont; and numerous other great-aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of Johannah’s life will be held for family and friends on her birthday in September.
