Johanna Marie Kelleher

OBIT ISL-KelleherFORT WADSWORTH, N.Y., and SOUTHWEST HARBOR — Johanna Marie Kelleher, 69, of Fort Wadsworth, N.Y., and Southwest Harbor, died unexpectedly on Nov. 22, 2015.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Johanna worked for many years as an administrator in the security department at New York University, Manhattan. She retired in 1991 and moved to Maine.

Ms. Kelleher was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion in Maine. She was a friend of Bill W. for more than 30 years.

Johanna is survived by her brothers Leonard, James and Robert; her daughter Julianna; sons Thomas and Matthew. She also leaves behind her two special grandsons Thomas and Luke. She will be missed by her family and many friends on MDI and in New York.

Her family would like to welcome Johanna’s friends to an open house in celebration of her life on Dec. 20, 2015, 1-3 p.m., 385 Main St., Southwest Harbor.
