WILLIAMSPORT, PA. — Jeanne C. Hamblen, 84, of Williamsport, Pa., passed away Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, at the Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital. She married the late Jack E. Hamblen, who died on April 28, 1983.
Born Oct. 3, 1930, in Otter Creek, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Ina (Eddy) Coston.
Jeanne attended Christ Episcopal Church. She enjoyed cooking and cheering for the Patriots and Boston Red Sox. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Jeanne was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her two sons, Matthew C. (Puiha) Joy of Williamsport, Pa., and David L. (Barbara) Joy of Belleville, Ill.; a daughter, Debbie L. (Daniel) Egan of Pitcairn, Pa.; nine grandchildren, Chris (Nadine), Katherine (Michael), Sheila, Steven, Stephanie (Mark), Eric (Allison), David (Samara), Daniel, and Alex; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Joy, two brothers, Eddy and Paul Coston, and a sister, Meredith Smith.
A funeral service to honor the life of Jeanne was held on Sept. 29, 2015, in Williamsport, Pa.
