She was born in Bar Harbor, the daughter of the late Alfred and Viola (Staples) Rodick. She was raised in Maine and was a 1957 graduate of Bar Harbor High School. She had lived in Lynn most of her life.
She was employed as a bookkeeper for many local businesses, including State Street Bank, Jordan Marsh, Anthony’s Hawthorne and Ann and Hope. Jeanette is best known as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved family trips to Maine, New Hampshire and Connecticut. She enjoyed watching horse racing, playing the lottery and Mohegan Sun. She also enjoyed gardening. She was a diehard Boston sports fan. She most enjoyed time with her family, especially the holidays. She is well known for her cooking and her “red” sauce.
She is survived by her children, Frank Lanzillo of Danvers, Mass.; Anthony J. Lanzillo of Lynn, Mass.; Gina Lanzillo of Lynn, Mass.; Angela Lanzillo of Gorham, N.H.; and Dorothy Curtis and her husband, Frank, of Lynn, Mass.; a grandson, Antonio DaCosta of Amesbury, Mass. She also leaves her sisters, Mary McFarland of Ellsworth; Viva Wilson of Elmira Heights, N.Y.; Frances Gray of Northeast Harbor; her brother Alfred Rodick of Avon Park, Fla.; her brothers-in-law, Paul Lanzillo of Kissimmee, Fla.; and Tony Lanzillo of Grotta Ferrate, Italy. She leaves many nieces and nephews. She is the sister of the late Ruth Keyes and Benjamin Rodick.
Jeanette’s funeral was held on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015, at the Solimine Funeral Home, Lynn. Burial took place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
