Janice Margaret Rodick, 77, died Dec. 9, 2021, at her home with family by her side after losing her battle to breast cancer.
Janice was born in London, England, on Oct. 13, 1944. She lived a short time in London until moving to the United States with her mother and father at the age of 3 months. She resided in Bar Harbor with her husband and children and worked at MDI Hospital for 30 years.
Janice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her knew just how special she was and how loved she was by everyone.
Janice was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Rosena Phillips, father, Randolph Vincent Clark, brother Kermit Clark, mother in-law Maxine Rodick and father in-law Clarence Rodick.
Janice is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 58 years, Gerald Rodick, sister Margo McFarland, significant other Elmer Pellitier, son Eric Rodick and wife, Teri, of Southwest Harbor, daughter Audra Atzger and husband, Brian, both of Seguin, Texas, four grandchildren, Alexys Lee, Grace Rodick, Caiden Atzger and Chloe Atzger, and two great-grandchildren, Aubree Molina and Colter Mansfield, of Seguin, Texas. She also leaves behind her brother in-law William Rodick and wife, Ethel, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations can be made in memory of Janice Rodick to the MDI Hospital Oncology Department, MDI Hospital Philanthropy Department, 10 Wayman Lane, Bar Harbor, ME 04609.
