ELLENTON, FLA./SEAL HARBOR — On March 27, 2017, having enjoyed a blessed and wonderful life of 101 years, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Evelyn Wells Gibbs, joined her loving husband, Arthur Gibbs.
Evelyn was born on Dec. 11, 1915, to Dr. Leon and Ethel Wells in Great Barrington, Mass. She was the eldest of siblings Anita, Dudley and Milton. She was predeceased by her parents, siblings, husband and son-in-law Roger Charron.
Mom had such a zest for life and was an inspiration not only to our family but to all who knew her. She was gentle, loving, nonjudgmental, beautiful (inside and out) and everyone she met loved her. Every day she told us how blessed she was to have such a loving family and to have had such a wonderful life. She loved having get-togethers with family and friends, sitting by the campfire, gardening and music.
She was a loving mom to Anita Gibbs, Sally and her husband, Jim Black, and Cynthia Charron. Grandmother of Brian (Stefanie) Blethen; Darrell (Michele) Blethen; Craig (Stephanie) Blethen; Eric (Kimberly) Charron; Michelle Abbott. Great Grandmother of Kaley, Remy, Tyler, Kirby, Brianna, Gibb, Reed, Madeleine and Nathaniel. We all will miss her terribly, but we are happy for her to again be with Dad.
