Edwin “Dave” Davis Peake Jr., age 76, of East Norriton, Pa., died at home with his family on Tuesday, April 21, 2020. He was born in Bangor on Jan. 25, 1944, son of the late Edwin Davis Sr. and Janet (Sawtelle) Peake. He was the beloved husband of Chrisann (Borkowski) Peake for over 30 years.
Dave grew up in Phoenixville, Pa., and went to The Phelps School for boys. He had many wonderful times at his family’s vacation home on Cranberry Island in Maine. He worked as a diesel mechanic for Louderback for 35 years and Ryder for 15 years. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed traveling and going to the casino. He was a quiet man who would do anything for anybody.
He is survived by two sons, Edwin “Skip” Davis Peake III and Paul Wasmanski (Mary Chunn); a daughter, Michelle Skitko (Greg); two grandchildren, Gerri Rose and Lenny Wasmanski; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Sandy Warfield, and his former wife, Margaret (Piotrowski) Peake.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, services and interment will be restricted to immediate family. Interment will be in St. Benedict Cemetery, Conshohocken, Pa., on Friday, May 1, 2020, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or 1-800-227-2345.
