Cheryl A. (Arnold) Richardson

OBIT -RichardsonBASS HARBOR — Cheryl A. (Arnold) Richardson died peacefully at her home on July 6, 2015. She was born on Feb. 27, 1948, in Bangor, to Ruth (Forsythe) and Charles Arnold. Cheryl graduated from Bar Harbor High School and worked as a bookkeeper throughout her life for several local businesses, most recently ML Pettegrow & Sons and A & S Auto. Cheryl was married to the love of her life, Bill Richardson, on Oct. 24, 1970. She was a trivia buff and enjoyed watching “Jeopardy” and “Wheel of Fortune” each evening, always with a mug of hot tea in hand. She took great pride in being able to finish the daily crossword puzzle in pen.

Cheryl’s family and friends were always special and very important to her. She is survived by her husband of almost 45 years, Bill Richardson; her son Chris Richardson, his wife Elizabeth and their children Eli, Una and Abby; her daughter Brooke Cahilly, her husband, David, and their daughters Emersyn and Synclaire; sisters Charlene Butterfield (Cary); Sharon Arnold (George Gekas); Gayle Tucker (Troy, Jenay, Joell, Trevor, Hazel, Lulu, Wyliam and Lakelyn); a special niece Michelle Libby (Rich, Tyler and Megan); special cousins Marie Gardner (Jennifer) and Jim Gardner (Rita); sisters-in-law, Ginny Mudge (Roland and Kevin) and Jane Smith of Tennessee, and her two forever friends Carrie Dow and Lee Gray. Cheryl was predeceased by her brother Chucky in 1958, her mother Ruth Arnold in 1995, her father Charles Arnold in 2000, her aunt Ginny Gardner in 2014 and cousin Bill Gardner in 2014. Cheryl was a brave, strong woman who will be deeply missed and loved forever and a day.
