YMCA camps



BAR HARBOR — The MDI YMCA has four summer camps or camping trips planned for this summer.

Theater Camp, for ages 9-14, runs at the YMCA July 25-29 from 9 a.m. to noon. Campers will learn the basics of theater: projection, movement, theater lingo and more. The camp costs $75 for MDI YMCA members, $105 for nonmembers.

The Rhythmic Gymnastics Camp runs at the YMCA from Aug. 15-19. The beginner level camp, for ages 6 and up, is for kids without previous dance or gymnastics experience. It runs from 1-3 p.m. and costs $75 for MDI YMCA members, $105 for nonmembers. The experienced level camp, for those aged 9 or older, is for current Rhythmic Team members or those with dance and gymnastics experience. It runs from 3-5 p.m. and costs $75 for MDI YMCA members, $105 for nonmembers.

The MDI and Down East Family YMCAs will host a joint Moose Family Camping Trip at Webb Pond in Eastbrook from 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 5, to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6. The camp costs $25 per member, $35 per nonmember. For families with more than one child, the cost per child drops to $10 per member, $15 per nonmember.

The MDI and Down East Family YMCAs will host a joint Squirrel Family Camping Trip at Webb Pond in Eastbrook from 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20. The camp costs $25 per member, $35 per nonmember. For families with more than one child, the cost per child drops to $10 per member, $15 per nonmember.
