Gwen May reminds us that she has closed her office down, “but will conduct business, as I did before, by having you drop mail in the drop box or mail papers to me. You can notify me by email, snail mail, text or messenger to give me a heads up that you need something done. Please continue to help me spread the word . . . and not the virus.”
We extend our condolences to the family and friends of William M. Houldin who passed away on Monday, Jan. 17. Services will be private in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored for donations to The Washington Ambulance Association, P.O. Box 294, Washington Depot, CT 06794, and its building fund.
Katelynn LeMoine sadly notes that the Stray Cat Program is up and running again after only three years of no stray sightings: “I have set out four save-a-heart traps. Please do not touch the traps. I will check the traps daily when they are set. If you notice an animal in the traps, please let me know. I have the experience and equipment to deal with the animals that may be in the traps. Even if it’s a raccoon, do not let it out as I will continue to catch it – I will relocate it. Also, please let me know if and when you see a cat so I know its possible location.
I ask for donations of cat food (wet and dry), litter and money to help spay and neuter them. I will place a box at the post office again for the donations. I appreciate your generosity.”
