TREMONT — Selectmen on Monday agreed with Town Manager Dana Reed that the reconstruction of a section of the Tremont Road was progressing smoothly.
Reed said he has received no complaints about the project. The crew from R.F. Jordan has been able to keep traffic moving through the construction areas with only minimal delays, he said.
One resident did express a concern about whether a stately elm tree at the Tremont Consolidated School was to be removed. Some of the low-hanging limbs might need trimmed to accommodate utility lines, but the tree is to remain standing, Reed said.
The work is scheduled for completion in November.
