Seawall rental units

SOUTHWEST HARBOR — Plans to replace the old restaurant building at the Seawall Motel with three weekly rental apartments have been approved by the town’s planning board.

A condition of the approval is that the septic field must be surveyed and determined to be adequate to accommodate the new units.

Davie Lloyd, who owns the property with his wife, Vickie, said that shouldn’t be a problem.

“It was designed for a restaurant with room for 160 people, and it’s worked fine,” Lloyd said. ”

The Common Good will be moving to a space in the Post Office building in downtown Southwest Harbor in June.
