TREMONT — Selectmen last week determined a short-term fee for commercial use of the Seal Cove Wharf by Rockland Marine Corporation.
Rockland Marine has been hired by Cook Aquaculture to barge trucks loaded with juvenile salmon between the wharf and Cook’s fish-farming pens near Black Island. Rockland Marine plans to make three to five trips daily. There could be as few as 50 trips or as many as 90 in total, said Rockland Marine representative David Whitney.
Selectmen voted 4-0 to charge Rockland Marine $100 per day for use of the wharf and hold the company responsible for any damage caused at the facility.
