Racism stand

BAR HARBOR — The YWCA Mount Desert Island is asking people to join them in taking a Stand Against Racism between Thursday, April 23, and Sunday, April 26. The YWCA MDI activities, part of a national movement involving 300,000 people, will unite our community in bold demonstrations that deliver a clear message: racism can no longer be ignored nor tolerated.

On Thursday, April 23, the YWCA will be at the Jesup Memorial Library, Northeast Harbor Library, Southwest Harbor Public Library and College of the Atlantic gathering signatures of those who pledge to Stand Against Racism.

On Friday, April 24, the YWCA will hold a Stand on the Village Green at noon. Community members are invited to join.
