Pecha Kucha MDI returns

BAR HARBOR — Pecha Kucha is back on Mount Desert Island.

Pecha Kucha, or “the art of concise presentation,” first started in Tokyo, Japan in 2003, will make its second appearance on MDI at the Abbe Museum on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m., co-sponsored by the Abbe Museum and the Northeast Harbor Library.

There will be half a dozen six-minute presentations, ranging in topics from living aboard a sailboat year-round in Maine to the connection between art, life and death.

Emceed by Lyzz Bien, this event will be outside in the Abbe Museum’s “back yard.”

Free popcorn will be provided.

The rain date for this event is Tuesday, Sept. 17.
