Odd Fellow just may share syrup

My husband and I recently had a lovely visit with island residents Iver Lofving and Maili Bailey at their home in Skowhegan. We also were fortunate that Iver gave us a tour of his sugar bush Chez Londorf, where he makes the most delicious maple syrup. If you are lucky, you may be able to purchase some before it sells out; otherwise, you may get a taste of it, if you are super sweet to Iver, at one of the OddFellow’s summer breakfasts.

Keep your eyes peeled this summer for the documentary “Peak Oil: A Love Story” by filmmaker Nelson Cole with his New Farmer Films production company. The film is about Iver Lofving’s passionate message about peak oil. As the film’s kickstarter campaign states, “For years, artist and peak oil activist Iver Lofving has been happily spreading his message of energy apocalypse. Will we listen?”
