After my “love boat” engagements announcement from two weeks ago, I was informed of yet another one. Congratulations to Judd Cease and Stephanie Brown on their recent engagement.
Deputy Sheriff Rob Morang informs us, “Just a heads up to let the community know. I have gotten instructors to agree to host a Hunter’s Safety Course and an Archery Safety Course on Swans Island during April 2016. The details are still being worked out.” Stay tuned for more information.
Tammy Tripler notifies us that although the eighth grade does not need Superbowl Subs as a fundraiser this year, PIK will do them. PIK members will be calling around, but if you haven’t heard from them and would like to place an order, call Tammy at 664-4898 or Heidi Martin at 460-4437. The subs are $5.50 each.
Rick DuBois reminds us: “I will be on the island Saturday, Jan. 30, at the Atlantic Fire Station from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. offering veterinary services. These include rabies vaccinations for just the cost of the shot: $15 for dogs, $20 for cats. Gwen May said she would waive the late fee a week or so for those of you trying to find your rabies certificates or who need to booster your dog for licensing. If you have any special needs for your pet, i.e. food or medicine refills, call my Dexter office at 924-3462 as soon as you can so I can bring it with me. I’m looking forward to being there.”
Happy birthday to Jill Trask, Annette S. Joyce, Tammy Tripler, Benjamin Treadwell, Eric Alen Carlson, Fiona Abigail Robinson, Phoebe Adelle Robinson, Steven Gardner, Teressa Rozenski, Zuzunnah LeMoine and Howard Dentremont. Anniversary blessings to Galen and Jennifer Turner.
