Come to the Swan’s Island Library to hear about the “new” marijuana on Thursday, April 9, from 6:30-8 p.m. Denise Black, Healthy Acadia’s Drug Free Project coordinator, will share information on new marijuana products, youth trends and public health concerns at this educational community forum.
The Acadia Choral Society, with accompanist and assistant director Kimberly Haller, will provide the final concert of the Jesup Library Winter Concert Series on Sunday, April 12, at 2 p.m. This performance, a sampling of their upcoming spring concert program, will entice listeners to attend the full performance at St. Saviour’s Episcopal Church in Bar Harbor on May 2 and 3.
Getting from the island to anywhere on the mainland and back within ferry time is a major challenge of living in paradise. Both year-rounders and returning summer residents should be aware that the Main Street Infrastructure project in Southwest Harbor has commenced again and will run through the end of June.
