Fran Chetwynd informs us that the movie “Just Tom,” a romantic comedy set in Charlotte, N.C., will show at the library on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m. Tom is a salesman reluctantly attending a watch sales convention. Over a period of 24 hours, he falls in love (perhaps) and his life is changed (for sure). This almost full-length feature film (75 minutes) is presently showing on the film festival circuit and was made by Peyton Lea, a new young director who spent some time on Swans Island this summer.
Our final “Curly Movie” of the week, shown at Odd Fellows Hall on Monday, Sept. 29, at 7:30 p.m., is a surprise. It will be another Russell Crowe movie. Many thanks go to John MacKay for organizing this enjoyable series.
